Pick up a prayer block in the bookstore as a prayer reminder to pray for the children of the Mathare Valley. All the funds went toward the construction of the Child Development Center to provide housing, food, education, medical assistance, clothing, and Biblical training. Prayer blocks are miniature concrete blocks as a reminder to pray for this project and the children. |

A Brief History of Mercy Njeri
Mercy Njeri could not start school because of lack of school fees. While at home one day waiting for someone to sponsor her education, Mercy met with a man in the street of the ghetto who raped her, left her helplessly on the ground and ran away. Mercy was brought to our school and taken to the hospital only to discover the man who raped her was HIV positive. She underwent testing and received treatment. After three months, she was discharged and put on antiretrovirals — medications designed to inhibit the reproduction of HIV in the body. She is doing well and desires to continue her education and trusting God for her health. Mercy wants to become a doctor so she can help others. YOU can change the destiny for the children of Mathare Valley by... Praying ... Giving ... and Going. Let it be you!
