Dear Parent/Guardian
To help us in providing the best care we can for your child, I would like to make you aware of the rules that we use in our Children’s Ministries (Rangers, Missionettes, Elementary Christian Education, Childcare and Children’s Church):
- No talking unless you have the microphone (Kidzlife1010 Service only).
- Raise your hand if you have something to say (Respect of Leaders).
- Do not be a space invader.
It is rule #3 that I would like to draw your attention to. This rule covers the following – hitting, kicking, punching, bullying, name calling, abusive speech/actions and violence to another.
For example, in our service a child receives one warning when they violate a rule. If a child continues to violate this rule, they are then escorted to the parent/guardian and are not permitted to remain with the other children for that time period.
When it comes to hurting another child, we have a zero tolerance policy. Under no circumstances will we allow a child to physically or verbally abuse another child. If they do, they will be brought back to the parent/guardian and will not be allowed in that class for a period of two weeks. If the behavior continues, the offending child will not be permitted to remain in that class or group. We will not jeopardize the safety of the many for the sake of the few.
